Nuclear Prayer Day: 80th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

As we mark the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this powerful World UNITY Week session brings together spiritual leaders, peacebuilders, and global citizens for a sacred time of reflection, prayer, and purpose. Convened by Monica Willard and hosted by Ben Bowler, the gathering sets the tone for Nuclear Prayer Day on August 6, calling us to a shared commitment to a world free of nuclear weapons.

With compelling contributions from Jonathan Granoff (Global Security Institute), Dr. Jude Currivan (WholeWorld-View), Dr. Dot Maver (Global Silent Minute), Fumi Johns Stewart (May Peace Prevail on Earth International),and Becky Suzik (JoyFuel), this program weaves together legal insight, cosmological perspective, peace education, and spiritual presence. Anchored in the spirit of the Global Silent Minute, it is a heartfelt invocation of truth, beauty, and goodness in the face of one of humanity’s deepest shadows — and a call to rise together in peace.
